Festivals
On the 15th August, around the church of the Virgin Mary, in the village of the same name.
On St George's Day, around the Holy Church, in the vallage of the same name.
On 28th August, the eve of the celebration of the beheading of Agios Yiannis of Prodromos, there is an evening celebration in the first large entrance of the cave. It's a spectacular sight to see the jostling crowds, also from nearby islands, enjoying the festival.
On 8th November, it is the nameday of Taxiarchon (archangels) Michael and Gabriel, there is a celebration by the owner, Sophia Spanou and her husband, Stelios, with help from her sisters Dina Prasinou and Efthalia Dendrinou.
